I always tell my colleagues on the Chengrong Era team that Chengrong Era is a brand. What we do now and will do in the future is not just to sell products, but to build a water purifier brand. It's a pursuit of career, so we must hold firm faith and set long-term goals.
Recently, the young members of the Chengrong Era team have started doing live streams. Every morning, I would gather them together and spend 30 minutes to 1 hour communicating with them.
Yesterday, we talked a lot about product-related knowledge. Luckily, I had some time afterward, and as the saying goes, "The palest ink is better than the best memory." So I wrote a meeting minutes. I originally only intended to record it for archiving, but the feedback from my team was surprisingly good, with many members saying they gained new insights into our products and brand mission.
Today, I'd also like to share it with all of you by the way.
1、The live stream by the young team members yesterday was the most wonderful one so far recently. Both the display effect in the live stream room and the young members' state were very good. It's just that at the beginning, the two of them vied to speak a bit.
2、The ultrafiltration membranes of our Chengrong have always undergone NSF testing. Because I also want to know if there are any harmful chemical substances leached from the ultrafiltration membranes I made. Up to now, all the submitted samples meet the European and American NSF standards.
In fact, I care more about the product safety than our customers.
3、The kitchen mineral-like water purifier in the live stream room now is a 3D-printed prototype. The mold for the finished product is still being made, but its functions are the same as those of our finished product. After the whole water purifier is formed, we will conduct NSF testing on the whole machine, and it is estimated to be available as early as next month.
4、For Chengrong Era kitchen water purifiers, the carbon fiber used in the filter elements is pure carbon fiber with no additives at all. No scale inhibitors, no silver ion antibacterial agents, just nothing, only 100% carbon fiber.
This is related to both my experience in the water purification industry and my design philosophy. We don’t aim to do business with everyone, but only to serve our target customers well.
5、Whether it is Chengrong Era whole-house pre-filter or kitchen mineral-water-like water purifier, the customer’s water source must be safe.
Therefore, if the customer uses well water, stream water, or mountain spring water as their daily water for living needs , we recommend that they first conduct a water quality test before purchasing our product.
If the water quality is safe, using Chengrong Era water purifiers will be completely problem-free.
If the water quality is not safe, we recommend that the customer either switch to a different water source, or use an RO reverse osmosis system.
6、Municipal tap water is absolutely safe, there is no risk of heavy metal exceedance, making Chengrong Era water purifiers an ideal choice for such water source purification.
A specific dose of chlorine is added to municipal tap water prior to its departure from the water treatment plant. This measure ensures the chlorine retains its bactericidal properties throughout the journey from the water source to the household faucet, effectively preventing biological contamination during pipeline transportation. Chengrong Era’s mineral-water-like water purifier is a product developed specifically to further refine municipal tap water. It intercepts 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, addresses secondary pollution caused by pipeline transportation and community secondary water supply, and removes residual chlorine from the water.
However, if the raw water is relatively turbid, our mineral-water-like water purifier is not suitable for direct installation, as turbid water can easily cause clogging. In such cases, a pre-filter for whole house must be installed first. Our pre-installed micro-ultrafiltration water purifier is a good choice, and it comes in either an intelligent spin-wash model or a manual filter-wash model.
If the household water is good-quality municipal tap water, then the Chengrong Era mineral-water-style water purifier at the kitchen terminal is sufficient to meet customers' needs. Additionally, some of our customers in Shenzhen, who pursue a higher quality of life and want whole house water purification, would also choose to install our pre-installed micro-ultrafiltration water purifiers as well.
7、The mineral-water-like water produced by Chengrong Era kitchen water purifier is safe for direct consumption. However, we recommend heating it to 45°C, as warm water is better for your health.
In fact, most water dispensers also keep water warm at 45°C. These dispensers typically use an RO reverse osmosis system, plus taste enhancers and an ultrafiltration membrane. The "taste enhancers" in RO water purifiers are actually activated carbon, which tends to breed bacteria. That’s why an additional ultrafiltration step is added afterward to trap these bacteria.
8、Some water tastes slightly sweet, and this is actually due to the minerals it contains.
Therefore, for safe raw water sources, such as municipal tap water with a TDS value below 300, Chengrong Era’s mineral-water-like water purifier is the ideal choice for customers seeking healthy kitchen water.
9、During yesterday’s live stream, Claire made an incorrect statement. The folded cotton (also known as PP cotton) in the filter of our mineral-water-like water purifier does have a filtering effect, it traps large particulate impurities in the water, thereby reducing the load on the carbon fiber filter.
Without folded cotton, the activated carbon would absorb various impurities from the water. With folded cotton, the carbon fiber has more capacity to absorb odors in the water, improving its taste.
Ultrafiltration membranes do not alter water taste. So after passing through the carbon fiber filter, the water’s taste is enhanced; and after passing through the ultrafiltration membrane, its taste remains unchanged. Moreover, the ultrafiltration membrane traps secondary contaminants from the carbon fiber, ensuring the mineral-water-like output meets direct drinking standards.
In addition to the mineral-water-like outlet, our purifier also has a regular clean water outlet. The water from this outlet is of better quality than tap water, as it has been filtered through the first three stages of the purifier’s filters.
10、During yesterday’s live stream, a customer asked if our water purifier comes with a sterilization lamp.
Sterilization lamps are somewhat unnecessary for water purifiers. We have conducted tests showing that while sterilization lamps work well for still water, their sterilization effect is poor for fast-flowing water.
This is similar to how activated carbon absorbs residual chlorine in water, it works on still water, but its effect is very limited when water flows through quickly.
11、There is no "better option" between RO and ultrafiltration systems, each has its own advantages, and the choice depends on the customer’s needs.
Our focus only needs to be on clearly explaining which scenarios our products are suitable for and which problems they can solve. Whether running a factory or building a brand, I prefer to attract customers through quality, service, and facts, rather than exaggerated marketing slogans that only exist in words.
Of course, this path is not easy to take.
